Caroline Bruzelius of Art, Art History, and Visual Studies has received an award from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation for a project entitled ''The Kingdom of Sicily.'' Total funding will be $4,000 over 12 months.

Gleb Finkelstein of Physics has received an award from the Office of Naval Research for a project entitled ''Bioenabled Electronics: Bridging the Top-down and Bottom-up Fabrication Approaches.'' Total funding will be $588,520 over 24 months.

Haiyan Gao of Physics has received an award from the Los Alamos National Laboratory for a project entitled ''Engineering Design of Subsystems for the Neutron Electron Dipole Moment (nEDM) Mod #3.'' Total funding will be $20,000 over 9 months.

Renate M. Houts of Psychology and Neuroscience has received an award from the Research Triangle Institute for a project entitled ''NICHD* Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development.'' Total funding will be $77,451 over 11 months.

Robert B. Jackson of Biology has received a Dissertation Improvement Grant from the National Science Foundation for graduate student John H. Kim, for a project entitled “Biological and economic tradeoff of carbon and water with land- use changes in grasslands.'' Total funding will be $15,000 over 24 months.

Paula McClain of Political Science has received an award from the National Science Foundation for a project entitled ''REU* Site: Ralph Bunche Summer Institute.'' Total funding will be $404,521 over 36 months.

Anthony So of Public Policy Studies has received an award from the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative for a project entitled ''Conceptualizing Alternative IP* Management Strategies for R&D for Neglected Diseases.'' Total funding will be $48,671 over 12 months.

Richard S. Surwit of Psychology and Neuroscience has received an award from the National Institutes of Health for a project entitled ''Prospective Effects of Pychosocial Factors on Bariatric Surgical Success.'' Total funding will be $75,701 over 24 months.

John E. Thomas of Physics has received an award from the National Science Foundation for a project entitled ''Trapped Fermi gases as models of strongly interacting matter.'' Total funding will be $20,000 over 1 month.

Gennifer Weisenfeld of Art, Art History, and Visual Studies has received an award from the National Humanities Center for a project entitled ''Imaging Disaster: Visual Culture in Japan after the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake.'' Total funding will be $35,000 over 9 months.
