National Endowment for the Arts Grants for Arts Projects - Second Notice

The deadlines for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Grants for Arts programs in the first half of calendar 2005 were covered in a January 14 Funding Alert. Since no responses were received to that institutionally limited solicitation, an opportunity still exists for anyone interested in submitting an Access to Artistic Excellence proposal for the Aug. 15 deadline. (If you are intending to submit a proposal to NEA for one of the earlier deadlines or have already done so, please contact Ken Macdonald, Duke ORS, 681-5988 or kwmac@duke.edu.)

The Access to Artistic Excellence awards are intended to foster and preserve excellence in the arts and provide access to the arts for all Americans. An organization may request a grant amount from $5,000 to $150,000. Most grant awards will range from $10,000 to $100,000. Few grants will be awarded below $10,000; grants of $100,000 or more will be made only in rare instances, and only for projects that the Arts Endowment determines demonstrate exceptional national or regional significance and impact. Applications to NEA programs are institutionally limited and quite complex. If you are interested in applying, please contact Ken Macdonald, Duke ORS, 681-5988 or kwmac@duke.edu. Deadlines: Jun. 15 (Duke Internal).
