Funding Search Tools

Funding Databases

With online funding databases, you may search for grant and/or fellowship opportunities that match criteria that you select, such as key words descibing your area of research or programming; your status as a faculty researcher, postdoctoral researcher, or graduate student; your citizenship; the location of your research; and the type of funding that you seek; etc.

Email Alert Services

An alert service is an email notification system that sends you a listing of grant sources based on criteria that you select. You will construct a funding search (see Funding Databases, above) which automatically emails you any new grants or fellowships, as well as those with updated information, that correspond to the criteria you provide.

Funding Resource Center

Both an online and real-life resource, the Funding Resource Center offers online and print resources to aid Duke researchers in their search for resources.

Funding Search Tutor

The process of starting a funding search can be overwhelming - the funding search tutor offers an overview of the search process, tips for using the tools in this section, and a troubleshooting section with answers to many common funding search questions.
