Institutionally limited nominations differ from other funding
opportunities, in that Duke University is invited to submit a limited
number of proposals in response to each solicitation. Therefore anyone
interested in submitting a proposal to one of these programs must first
submit an application for internal review and approval by the appointed
review committee. All institutionally limited nominations, for both
campus and medical center are coordinated by the Office of Research
Support.
The internal review deadline will be approximately 30 days in
advance of the sponsor's submission deadline, and the materials
requested for Duke's internal review will consist of an abridged draft
of what will be submitted to the sponsor. However, submission
requirements vary, so consult the announcement for your particular
program before submitting. As long as the nomination limited has not
been filled, an opportunity will remain open after the internal
deadline, and will close on the sponsor's submission deadline.
