ORS sponsors quarterly meetings for university grant managers, arranging for a speaker at each session to address timely issues that aid grant managers with their work. We also provide lunch! A monthly series of brown-bag meetings to advise grant managers on developments or problems in the field. You bring your lunch - ORS provides soft drinks and dessert. Grants & Contracts Administration This day long course for departmental grant managers covers the basics of proposal preparation, submission, and review on the campus/university side (not the medical center, which has different procedures.) Select post-award issues will also be covered, including rebudgeting grant funds. This is not a grant-writing course - rather, it is focused on the technical side of grants administration useful to all departmental grant managers. For more information, see the Learning & Organization Development course description. To register, click here. To take the on-line tutorial, click here. We also provide a listserv for university grant managers, useful to ask questions, post information, and also to receive ORS announcements. To subscribe to this list, please provide the Grant Manager Listserv Coordinator with the following information: Your Name, Title, Department, Box #, Physical address, Email address, and Phone #. Funding agencies frequently publish updates to program policies. Duke administrative offices also issue changes in procedures and policy. For a selection of recent policy and procedure update notices, click here. Sponsored Programs Systems (SPS) Training SPS is designed to assist personnel with the management of sponsored projects at Duke University. Find out how this program can also be a valuable research tool in finding the information you need for proposal preparation. For more information, contact Keith Hurka-Owen , ORS Associate Director.
