ORS sponsors workshops on special topics and with specific funding agencies. Past workshops have included program officers from the National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, as well as other sponsor agencies.

We also offer an annual faculty-level writing workshop with Dr. George Gopen, Professor of the Practice of Rhetoric, on the topic of "Writing from the Reader’s Perspective." Feedback indicates that participation in this workshop helps improve one's writing considerably. The next "Writing from the Reader’s Perspective" workshop is scheduled for fall 2007.
