The four offices most involved in post award management are:

• the principal investigator's departmental or center office which will be responsible, with the investigator, with the day to day management of the project;
• the Office of Research Support which will assist the investigator with interpretation of award terms and conditions, any administrative changes to the award, and liaison with the sponsor;
• the Office of Sponsored Programs which is responsible for oversight of financial management of the grant and all official financial reporting and audits; and,
• the Office of Science and Technology which is responsible for reporting inventions to all sponsors when an invention disclosure is made by the investigator to Science and Technology.
